New online community, Tell TVL, has been shortlisted for the Innovation Award at the widely-respected What Van? Awards.
Launched earlier this year, the national online database has already gained some great momentum with big industry players the BVRLA, bott, Brigade, On The Tools and Mu-T-Lock coming on board as official Supporters.
The initiative brings a new approach to the fight against vehicle crime – encouraging anyone who has had their vans stolen or items stolen from their vans to report full details to the Tell TVL website, in addition to reporting the crime to police.
The aim is to create the UK’s first real-time national database capturing the scale and nature of van crime, with all data collated and shared with police.
In addition, registered users will be able to get free anonymised data reports highlighting crime hotspots and receive targeted crime prevention advice based on trends in entry methods so drivers can be alert to all potential risks.
The fact it has now been shortlisted for a leading industry award highlights the backing and traction it is gaining with businesses, organisations and individual tradespeople.
Tell TVL is up against some stiff competition in the Innovation Award category, with the final decision to be announced at the prestigious What Van? Awards event, which will take place at the InterContinental Park Lane hotel on Thursday 8th December.
